Who is GrinBeam for?

GrinBeam helps self-learners, teachers, and schools. Whether you are preparing for an exam, a trip, or developing professional language skills, you can design your learning path around your own goals.

For learners

  • Learn vocabulary and phrases with spaced repetition (SRS) that adapts to your pace.
  • Start with a lesson without logging in or a short A1–C2 placement test.
  • Track your progress on learning maps — islands or hex grids, like in a game.
  • Use it on a computer, phone, or tablet — learn wherever you are, whenever you have a moment.

For teachers and schools

  • Create your own courses — from simple vocabulary sets to extensive topic-based learning paths.
  • Arrange material on RPG-style hex maps, with different skins and gamification elements.
  • Use a teacher panel: groups, assignments, and student progress reports.
  • With AI speech synthesis, turn text into audio recordings for exercises.

How does it work?

A few simple steps are enough to get started — whether you are learning on your own or teaching a group of students.

Check your level

Take a quick demo lesson or an A1–C2 placement test to start at the right level.

Choose a course

Use ready-made sets or choose a course matched to your level and learning goal.

Design the material

As a teacher, create a vocabulary set, lesson, island map, or hex grid with exercises and audio.

Track progress

Learners complete short SRS review sessions, while teachers see results in the group panel.

What can GrinBeam do?

GrinBeam combines proven vocabulary-learning methods with gamification and tools for teachers. These are the core features available from the start.

SRS reviews — how does it work?

SRS (spaced repetition system) is a method of scheduling reviews over time. Instead of reviewing everything in order, you return precisely to the words that are “on the edge of being forgotten.”

Based on your answers, the algorithm estimates when a word is likely to slip from memory again. This draws on memory research and the so-called forgetting curve — well-timed reviews help words stay with you for longer.

Custom courses and flashcards

Create vocabulary sets and lessons for a specific goal — an exam, travel, professional language, or a course for your class. You can mix exercise types and build complete topic-based paths.

Learning maps — islands and hexes

Design a course as an island or an RPG-style hex grid. Learners see the route and their real progress: every completed hex or island section is another step toward the goal.

Teacher panel

Groups, assignments, reports — see how much each learner has completed, which words they know, and where they struggle. You can respond quickly and plan lessons around real needs.

AI text-to-speech

Turn text into audio recordings — learners can hear correct pronunciation directly in the exercises, without searching for recordings in other apps.

Ad-free, in the browser

Works in the browser on any device, without pop-up ads or distractions. Learners see only what supports learning — nothing more.

Can I trust GrinBeam?

Creator and mission

GrinBeam was created from a very personal need — the struggle of learning languages myself and the desire to build a tool that genuinely helps people remember vocabulary. At first, I used it with my own children; only later did I make the platform available to other learners and teachers.

No ads, no distractions

The platform is developed out of a passion for education — without pop-up ads or noisy banners. Learners can focus on studying, and teachers can focus on working with their groups.
